Claims To Fame - What's Yours?

Socialise and chat about other areas of your life
I met Tony and Cherie Blair at a reception at Number 10 organised by Carers UK and attended by all the usual glitterati from the press and politicians as well as ordinary carers. It was just after Labour were swept to office in a landslide in 1997. Must admit I quite enjoyed the occasion, to be honest, it was outside my normal homely comfort zone.
Going home on the sleeper train back to Scotland that night I chatted to the late Donald Dewar at the bar.
How times move on, eh?
The Australian government introduced a law to prevent export of historic items after my husband and I sent two steam engines from Australia to Eengland!
I've met quite a lot of people in my time because I did event/security.
One of the concerts I worked was Knebworth - Robbie Williams.
What a famous lot we all are!

Just to let you know that Radio Wey are kindly repeating our show at 1pm today (Saturday)
So pull up a bar stool and we'll talk about this forum's Claims To Fames! Apologies for not including every post as they came in after the show was recorded.

The show is for carers and their familes. Hopefully, it will be a bit of giggle as well.

Kind regards

I once met Phil Taylor at a fundraising event that my father was organising for a department for children with special needs at the local infant school which has since closed and merged with the junior school next door.

I have also sang with Richard Stark when he came and performed in the town I live in.
