Getting a bit of chaotic organisation in my most disorganised life. Did a bit of wrapping this morning 😁
I haven't bought anything, never mind wrapping! Already warned M that there may not be presents this year.
I'm starting to ponder on what to have for dinner Xmas day: since nipper moved out about 15 years ago we've always gone with a simple pan-fried chicken breast and stir fry veg - prep 10 minutes cooking time 10 minutes - job done.

Last year I cooked slow roasted short-rib of beef, roast tatties etc. I'm wondering about a salad this year, maybe some hot-smoked salmon and a Nicoise salad, but not sure about a salad in winter - we don't usually eat salad in winter. I'm going to have to keep on thinking.
We'll have an online Christmas this year. I take care of my parents and the rest of the family lives in other states. Usually, we all got together and it was a lot of fun (about 25 people came to the parents' house). We have online competitions for decorating houses/apartments, online competitions for gift wrapping, etc. this year.
I'm spring cleaning the lounge, it's not that big and to make room for a tree I need to reorganise things.
i haven’t done a single thing.
I have had some really challenging Christmas "holidays" so I'm trying to make the most of this one with the family I have left.

I've opened the cards that have arrived, and I've bought small boxes of fancy chocs for all (4) of my wife's regular carers. That's it so far.
Ayjay,

you could always throw some pots or frame some of your lovely photos, as presents.

It's too late to start throwing pots now for this Christmas (for many reasons). I've not touched any clay since September last year, I just don't have enough spare time in the right size chunks.

I don't actually have any more pressies to buy, (my wife's has arrived now). I'll send Nipper some cash (bank transfer) as usual, and that's it - there's no-one else that gets one, not that there's many missing out.

My sister and I stopped exchanging presents by mutual agreement a long time ago, and just as well with the size of her tribe now - three kids, all now onto their second or third marriages and all with kids by each spouse, even some of those have got kids - I can't keep up with who's who when she sends me emails about them all.

I've got a couple of ancient Aunts that I haven't seen for many years - the rest of any close family are all abroad and have been since the 1950s.
