One I love to hate is the lad with the white shirt, his babe magnet, who washes it in Arial.

''And BOOM!!'' It always makes me smile, he's such a prat. Image

Yes it is an insurance company advert Archer.
The first one he did was driving his car with his mates to a Plymouth Albion football match.
With them all singing ''GREEN ARMY''. It took off down here with everyone singing it.
Then he was an old hippie at a rave in a field somewhere.

Damned if I can remember who the insurance company is though, so it dosen't work very well does it? Image

no,it doesn't work very well, and yet I can still remember adverts from my childhood complete with jingles.I am smiling as I am thinking of them in my head because they are about smoking and alcohol drinking!(Double Diamond works wonders, works wonders.....)

I don't smoke and very rarely drink.

the Italian café one is Paul Whitehouse, for Aviva I think. He's done so many different
versions, each one worse than the last, can't believe they keep on and on Image Image Image
I tape programmes and fast forward through the ads too Image

I got market surveyed and she asked if I'd watched a certain programme, which I had. We went through the storyline and I remembered everything she mentioned. Then she asked if I'd left the room at all and I said no, so she asked was I there for the adverts them and I said yes.
She asked which ones I remembered.........and I hadn't a clue. Image

I hate any advert involving sanitary protection - totally unnecessary, we all managed before they were allowed to advertise on TV.
Imagine a young couple cozying up on the settee watching a film, adverts come on .....then girl doesn't know where to look and lad looks embrassed, romantic moment totally ruined!
As for the other pads....well now women of a certain age think its totally alright to to share with anyone that they're wearing one.......thought the idea was for the pads to be discrete, nobody will know....well, with lots of women having a tener day and happy to share, they've blown their unique selling point well out of the water......so to speak!

The one I hate, even though I cant remember what it's for, is the one were the girl walking with her boy friends family, starts to sing, about how she wants to know what his dad has on under his Fair Isle sweater and cord trousers. I think it's very bad taste and no at all funny.
