How many words can you find 2

How many words can you make from the letters in the wheel? Each word must contain the hub letter A. Can you find a 9-letter word and at least 20 other words of five letters or more avoiding proper nouns?

Gosh, this ones hard
I can find lots of 4 letter words, but hardly any 5 letter ones. The letters dont fit well together and the words dont seem to lead on to others.
So far Ive only got

Plait
Trail

There are 27 words of 5 or more letters, then the 9 letter word.
Lets just say that having seen the answers there is no way on this earth I would get some of them
Like everything, you kick yourself for the ones that jump out at you once you do know the answers...
