<t>I don't know the nature of your complaint but if an independent arbitrator has decided you have a case then the authority cannot simply apologise and go on doing the same thing. For caring there is the 2000 Act. If the Authority is in breach of this Act then the Ombudsman could maybe take some ac...
<t>Hi Irene,<br/> Sorry you have had but a few replies. I wish I could help but do not know of these things. I am a 24/7 carer like most on here I suppose and whilst I love to push the boat forward, I have had to cut back on any input with local commitees. I don't even know if there are 'local' bran...
Hi Rosemary,
Our AED is a mix of both Lamotrigine and Epilim Chrono. This works fairly well. When my wife has a fit I also have Valium (diazapam) to inject to get her out of the fit. This saves our having to go to the hospital for them to give her the valium.
<t>Hi Russ,<br/> I care for my wife who is a stroke victim after a brain bleed. I think they call it 'scar epilepsy'. Originally it was about once every 14 days but now we seem to get away with one per annum. I am luckier than a lot of folks; the drugs are working fairly well, but I have to watch ou...
<t>I agree with you. Caring is one big regime if one is not careful and can lead to stress if the 'elevenses' are served at 11.05. I have cut back on outside commitments so that if something unforeseen happens, I do not 'have' to go out. Caring for my wife comes first; we take whatever the day has t...
This is a debate that the Management Team at our local Hospice have just completed. It was unanimously decided that even though some of the patients were dying of smoking-related illnesses, it would be unneccessarily cruel at this stage of their lives to prevent them smoking. A very caring and wise...
Hi again..they say perseverance pays, but I could only find the petition for paying carers the minimum wage level. Is that right? I have signed it.
I cannot find the one for residential care but if you clarify that particular e-petition I will sign it willingly.
Hi jojo,
I would love to sign the petition but cannot find the site with the petition you mention. Can you give me more details please (or any other kind person)
Thanks
<t>Carer_j...you are probably right. over the years things may or may not have got better according to an individual's circumstances. Governments do waste money and people like your good self need to snap at their heels. This will remind them that some of us can vociferously denigrate them. Also we ...
<t>Sorry carer_j but I am afraid the 'hunting out the ineligibles' does not bother me. I am of the opinion that civil liberties costs us millions, and whilst I am aware of the '1984 Big Brother is watching you problem' I feel the powers that be can have my DNA, bank details, fingerprints, shoe size ...
