Should care homes be monitored with hidden cameras

Discuss news stories and political issues that affect carers.
Age UK wants to see a new offence of corporate neglect introduced into the Care Bill currently working its way through the House of Commons. This would mean care home owners would be able to be held criminally responsible for allowing a culture of abuse or neglect to continue in their homes.

I'd love to see what would happen if the government announced that they were withdrawing all meds - not just for the elderly... but for all of us. After all, like the commenter says "Drugs are expanding all our lives". I only hope that they have a fit family if they don't want to see their numbers dwindle overnight!!!

Then there's the knock on problem of what they intend to do with all those extra dead people - some graveyards are filling fast as it is!

They obviously didn't use their brain before their mouth Image
Three situations happend while father inlaw was in respite we asked about cameras and they said they do not put them In rooms because of the persons human rights my opinion is yes put them in to monitor bad treatment also we found out non on corridors either and government were looking into letting homes have cameras on the corridors
