People in Norfolk who care for their loved ones will be making an impassioned plea to the government to give them more support and funding.

A group of carers from the county travelled to London today to lobby MPs in the Houses of Parliament to improve the quality of life for thousands of elderly people.

It comes as part of National Carers' Week 2009 which runs from June 8 to 14 with the aim of highlighting the important work carers do.

Many want to ensure there is improved access to services and that access to health and social care is equal to everyone.
