The penultimate paragraph is also interesting. What on earth does she mean by:

Would "votes for women" have been reasonable? Would the abolition of slavery? Would a carers allowance that is set at the average wage?
mmm could be 200 years from now they will be talking about posthumus medals, and maybe even compensation for the lost revenue/inheritance that governments past, present and future have stolen from our families?

And somebody somewhere wil have made alot of money out of Carers, just like they did out of the slave trade.

Oh for a William Wilberforce to speak in out raged tones for Carers.
