I spoke at the All Party Parliamentary Group for Carers

Discuss news stories and political issues that affect carers.
OK. Enough is enough. Can we all stop attacking each other right now! This is not the place to get personal with each other, or attack one another. At the end of the day, everyone on this forum does a difficult enough job as it is caring for someone, everyone has as much right to get support off this forum (not being bullied).

1) Wendy did a great job with her speech. What she said in it is no-ones business as it was personal to her. The only way Carers can get anything changed is to constantly drip feed parliament with their stories. Eventually MP's will understand and change will happen. Change does not, and will never, happen overnight.

2) These boards are meant to be about support and swapping information that could be useful, not for bullying someone. Clive and Ian take note - if you continue in the manner you are behaving then pretty soon no-one will take any notice of you, no-one will take you seriously and you will have done more harm than good. I can envisage a time when people will groan (if they're not already) "oh no not Clive" and immediately switch off. There is nothing wrong with free speech but make if productive.

One final thing before I shut up - let's work together, not bully each other. As one person Carers have a very quiet voice. As a collective we have a massive voice.

The tone on this thread is getting too personal and I'm locking the thread and urge restraint on personal comments.
