Carers " Non " Rights day is fast approaching and ... true to form ... both supporting organisations are seeking to raise funds , for themselves , to assist carers.

A timely reminder for all readers as to where those funds should be heading ... for the direct relief of those 100,00+ who have needed food banks.

Enough said ?
When is it?
21 November ... be very wary of those collection tins !

A day when all carers are asked to name just 5 " Rights " that do not need to be enforced ... by legal means or appeal.

The Right to continue to care until said carer drops dead ... usually the number one choice ?

Down memory lane to 2017 ... anything changed ? :

With the so called " Festive " season fast approaching , a timely reminder ... TRUSSELLS CHRISTMAS APPEAL :

No child should know what a food bank is, let alone use one at Christmas.

Christmas should be a time of joy and celebration, but last year, food banks in the Trussell Trust network distributed over half a million food parcels to children.

No doubt , the major supermarkets will join in ... even toys would be most welcomed ?
The 10 items food bank charities are asking shoppers to donate this week at Tesco.

From today until Saturday November 23, shoppers will find a Food Collection donation point at the front of every Tesco store.

Was at a local foodbank this week. I donated a lot of tinned stuff. I gave them tinned potatoes, tinned soup, tinned fish, tinned veg, tinned meat.
Thank you ... on behalf of food banks ... and , more particularly , those who need them.

By the ton is no exaggeration.
Should I donate fruit or not?
Check first with your local food bank.

Tesco tombstone posted recently a very good guide.
Tinned or the long life fruit in juice would be acceptable. Supposedly as good as fresh and certainly better than non at all.
