I have just written out a long post and clicked the preview which worked but when I clicked on submit nothing happened! I tried this a number of times and nothing! So I have written out my post to try again another time. Just wondering why it wont post (and if this one will!!!)

Hi Cathy, we have been experiencing problems since the forum change format, a lot of us have had the same problem as you have experienced, some found that they were able to post using the quick reply tab rather than the main submit tab.

Hello Cathy,

There are still a few glitches to be cleaned out !

One concerns topics that were started prior to the switchover (14th April) - if you try to reply using the 'reply topic' button (top & bottom left hand side) the forum just 'hangs' and won't accept the submitted post. You need to use the 'quick reply' or 'reply' button underneath the last message in the topic.

If you have any further problems I'd be grateful if you could report them here:

(> About the forum>April 2014 - Feedback on the new forum & website)

as we're trying to keep any issues in the one place so that it's easier to keep track !

Thanks no1mum and susieq, I might try posting it again tomorrow if I get the chance.

By the way, why was the site changed, it seemed fine to me and I preferred the look etc of the old site.

The forum was changed as part of a major re-branding and up-dating exercise of the main Carers UK website.

The 'old' forum was a stand-alone programme and, as such, was not part of the main website. So the plan was to have a fully integrated forum and website; the exercise also allowed for better overall security.

However, it is acknowledged that the change didn't go as hoped and Gavin Macgregor, CUK's Director of Communications and Engagement has posted a statement here: http://www.carersuk.org/forum?view=topi ... 8&id=41262

Hi Cathy, Carers UK has been rebranded to try to give it a new look, this entailed the forum and the main website all being linked together. Unfortunately the change over didn't go as smoothly as we anticipated.

Above is the link for a post that Gavin has posted about further changes following the problems we have been encountering on the new look forum.
