The Time For You Study is a multi-part, multi-agency study funded by the Department of Health into the provision and access to breaks for family carers running in Suffolk until March 2011. There are three pilot areas in Suffolk; Ipswich, Brandon and the villages of Sibton & Peasenhall.

Part 1 of the study offers family carers in or around the pilot study areas an initial grant of £100 towards a break of their choice in return for completing two short interviews with a trained researcher, one before and one after the grant is given. If you are a family carer, please contact the study to complete a very quick eligibility questionnaire over the phone.

Part 2 of the study is looking at how communities can develop or improve short break opportunities for carers. If you are a potential user or provider of short breaks for carers living in Suffolk, or you are interested in improving services for carers in Suffolk, the study would very much like to hear from you.

A website detailing breaks available to carers will be launched on 3oth April at and providers of services to carers are very much encouraged to register.
