http://tiny.cc/careassessmentsLancs

A free session to provide information and practical advice about dealing with future care assessments for parents and carers of people with a learning disability, is being organised by Mencap, the UK learning disability charity.

The day will take place on Thursday March 13 at the Tabor Retreat, Preston, from 10.30am-3pm. The event is free and lunch is provided.

Knowing how the assessment process works and what services you are entitled to can put people in a much stronger position when going through a care assessment.

The event will also explain how the appeals process works allocation of services has been denied which you feel you actually need.

A rare opportunity to have a valuable 1-2-1 session with Luke Clements, one of the country's leading Community Care lawyers, is also available for those parents and carers needing specialist advice on their individual cases. Places are limited so to book your place early to avoid disappointment.

For further information or to book your place please contact Christine Booth on 0161 968 9250 or christine.booth@mencap.org.uk
