    The emotional and physical strain of caring for numerous years can mean that carers can struggle with going back to work for a variety of reasons. Our response to the Government Equalities Office consultation on returning to work after taking time out to care highlights some of these issues, and our recommendations.

    Carers UK Submission to 2017 Budget Consultation

    Together with the long overdue publication of the cross-Government Carers Strategy the Budget must provide the means to provide this a much overdue increase in support for unpaid carers.     Response to the Matthew Taylor Independent Review of Employment Practices in the Modern Economy

    Carers UK's submission to the Matthew Taylor Independent Review of Employment Practices in the Modern Economy. Our suggestions included introducing a statutory right to 5-10 days paid care leave from work and a day one right to request flexible working. In addition, we suggested that carers are given greater support by their employers to allow them to juggle their caring responsibilities and to progress in the workplace.
