Make connections, get support
6.5 million people in the UK are providing unpaid care to a
family member or friend, that’s one in eight adults and more
than one in ten people. Three million people are juggling work and
care – the equivalent of 1 in 9 people in the workplace.
Yet this research reveals a lack of awareness and understanding of this role - even among those closest to carers.
The research and accompanying press release is published for Carers Rights Day, a campaign to help carers know their rights and find out how to get the help and support they are entitled to.
