In October 2025 Carers Wales responded to the Welsh Government’s consultation on the proposed regulations for direct payments for recipients of NHS Continuing healthcare. We called for support to help families manage the responsibilities that come with direct payments and for the regulations to allow sufficient opportunities for families to challenge decisions around direct payments.
