Sooner or later, most of us will face the challenge of caring for family and friends who are older, disabled or seriously ill. But it’s rarely in the plan.

Carers UK is the national membership charity for the 6.5 million people in the UK who are unpaid carers – and who save the UK a staggering £132 billion per year.  We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and creative leader as our Interim Director of Fundraising and Communications, with a proven track record of making a difference.

You will provide overall strategic leadership for the Fundraising and Communications team and effectively deliver on strategies for multiple revenue streams and multi-channel communications campaigns. As a member of the Senior Management Team of Carers UK you will also have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the strategic direction of Carers UK. You will have drive and enthusiasm, will have a personal track record of securing significant income generation from major donor, corporate and trusts fundraising sources, and will be an experienced and influential leader.

This post presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior fundraising and communications professional who is looking for a new challenge.
