About the role

Carers UK provides telephone, email and online support to unpaid carers through a national helpline service and its national offices in London, Cardiff, Glasgow and Belfast.

We are looking for a Helpline and Advice Coordinator initially for 12 months (with the possibility of review or renewal)

You will provide expert information and advice to carers who contact us for help. Additionally, you will ensure the smooth running of all our helpline services, and that the information, advice and emotional support we provide is clear, accurate, and responsive. With your up to date knowledge of benefits and adult social care you will contribute to Carers UK policy, campaigning and information work.

About you

This role is ideal for someone with direct experience of working on a helpline, looking to make the next move into a helpline management role. You will already have some experience of coordinating helpline operations, service monitoring and improvement. You will be confident finding your way around databases and have an eye for detail when it comes to collating and analysing activity data.

Above all though, you must have a deep-felt commitment to providing high quality information, advice and support services to carers.
