Carers UK AGM & Members' Conference 2019

Thursday 10 October 2019
Clifford Chance, Canary Wharf, London E14 5JJ
10.30am - 4.30pm (registration from 9.30am)

Every year we come together to discuss issues affecting carers, report back on the work of the past year and look to the challenges and opportunities ahead as a supportive community and a movement for change.
We would be delighted to see as many of our members there as possible. The event is free to attend and registration is now open.

BOOK NOW

We would be delighted to see as many of our members as possible. Below are some common questions and answers about the event. But do get in touch, using the details at the end of this page, if you'd like to ask anything else.

Is it an AGM or a Members' Conference?

Both! The day begins with the AGM and then moves on to the Members’ Conference which includes a range of speakers, opportunities to share ideas, and tips on wellbeing. During the breaks there will also be chances to meet other carers, browse our information stands and grab a cuppa.

Will lunch be provided?

A buffet lunch is provided as well as teas and coffees during breaks. Please tell us about any dietary requirements in your booking form above.

Do you have to buy a ticket?

There is no entry fee and the AGM and Members' Conference is free to attend. All you need to do is book your place to let us know you're coming.

What if I can't attend?

We understand that it's not always possible for our members to attend the AGM and Members' Conference. Therefore, to keep all members informed we'll provide a summary and highlights from the day by email. If you book at any point and can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible using the contact details at the end of this page.

If you would like to vote in the AGM but cannot attend, there is more information about Proxy voting below.

 Proxy voting

If you are attending the AGM, you can vote in person on the motions proposed. If you are not, you may wish to use this form to appoint a proxy to vote at the meeting on your behalf.

Please note that:

The person you can appoint as a proxy votes at their own discretion.
Votes cast by proxy are only counted if a motion cannot be passed by a show of hands of members present at the AGM.

Proxy forms must be submitted by 10.00am on Tuesday 8 October 2019. Proxy forms received after this time will not be valid.
