by Beth Evans 15 May 2015

Following on from the Carers Summits earlier this year when you contributed your view to Welsh Government on the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act and helped to inform our response to the consultation.

Welsh Government have now issued working Draft Code of Practice on the exercise of Social Services functions relating to Part 3 - Assessing the needs of individuals and Part 4 – Meeting needs. These can be found by following the attached link – http://gov.wales/topics/health/socialcare/act/?lang=en

In addition, this week Welsh Government have now issued consultations on other parts of the Act. Namely –

Part 5 – Charging and Financial Assessment
Part 6 – Looked After and Accommodated Children
Part 9 – Co-operation and Partnership
Part 10 – Complaints, Representation and Advocacy Services

These can be found by following the attached link - http://gov.wales/consultations/healthsocialcare/?lang=en
