#4000 Families Debate On March 8th
There is an important plenary debate on Wednesday 8th March which is asking the Welsh Government to review the impact of its decision to cut the funding of the Family Fund and to either reverse the cuts to the family fund, or establish mechanisms to provide direct financial support to low income families with disabled children at a minimum of at least the same levels previously provided.
Carers Wales, Contact a Family Cymru and Learning Disability Wales have opened a '#4000Families' campaign to support this motion. We believe that these cuts will have a lasting impact on Welsh carers with disabled children who will be denied access to this fund unlike those in the rest of the United Kingdom.
We're asking all supporters of Carers Wales to send an e-mail via this easy to use template provided by Contact a Family Cymru to their local AM to show there is support for this reconsideration.
For more information, please check out the main #4000 Families campaign page or there is the briefing Carers Wales sent to all Welsh Assembly members on the #4000Families campaign below.
Update 7th March
