Carers Voices training for carers

Carers Scotland is providing free training to unpaid carers from BME communities living in the South of Glasgow so they can better get their voices heard with local services.

The training has been designed to help carers develop skills in communication and assertiveness and is being supported by the Glasgow CHP South Sector Carers Information Strategy.

We will be providing the training over two three-hour sessions on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 2nd May 12.30pm - 3.00pm and,
  • Wednesday 9th May 12.30pm - 3.00pm

at Dixon Halls, 656 Cathcart Road, Glasgow  G42 8AA

Outcomes of the training will include; improved knowledge of local NHS and social services, more effective communication skills and greater influencing skills with health and social workers.

Transport costs and respite costs (as far as possible) will be provided and lunch and refreshments are included.  Booking is essential; please see the flyer below to find out about reserving a place.
