We seek to improve the knowledge, skills and understanding of health and social care staff thereby enhancing the quality and effectiveness of services provided by those staff. Examples of positive learning outcomes include:
- Health and social care staff having a better awareness and understanding of the rights and needs of carers.
- NHS staff being better able to identify carers, provide targeted information to carers and signpost them to local sources of support and advice.
- Carers being informed of their rights and entitlements.
- Supporting the health and wellbeing of carers.
- Carers being empowered and enabled to participate in the design, development and planning of services.
