Policy and campaign work
Carers Scotland supports health and social care professionals to develop better services for carers. We publish briefings on policy changes, carry out research, promote good practice, provide training and enable the exchange of infomation among our affiliated members. Carers Scotland responds to Scottish government consultations on legislation and policy that are likely to affect carers and work within Parliament to promote carers.
Consultation Responses (21)
Carers Scotland responds to consultations from the Scottish Government and other bodies which will have an impact on carers. We also include here UK wide briefings on reserved issues including welfare reform, flexible working and fuel poverty.
Policy Briefings (9)
Carers Scotland publishes policy briefings on a range of issues including Government Strategies. Many of our responses to Government consultations also provide an outline of our policy position on key areas.

Carers Scotland publishes research on a range of topics including carers' health, the benefits of telecare, carer poverty and employment.

Scotland's Carers Strategy (1)
The Scottish Government and Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (CoSLA) published, in partnership, a strategy for carers in Scotland in 2010 and a strategy for young carers.
