Carers Scotland runs a Carers Advocacy Service to help carers over the age of 16 living in South West Glasgow. The Carers Advocacy Service can help carers:
- express their own needs
- make informed decisions
- take greater control of the decisions that affect them and those they are caring for
The Service is free, confidential and independent from social work and health services and is affiliated to the Scottish Independent Advocacy Alliance.
The Project also plans to develop self advocacy resources for the future.
