The payment will be made to the following groups, who between the dates of Monday 12 December and Sunday 18 December 2011, are:
- in receipt of pension credit. Payment of £100;
- receiving cancer treatment. Payment of a £100;
- in receipt of Income Support. Payment of £75;
- in receipt of Employment Support Allowance income related. Payment of £75;
- in receipt of Job Seekers Allowance income based. Payment of £75.
The Department for Social Development is responsible for identifying and making payments to low income families and pensioners. The Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety is responsible for identifying and making payments to cancer suffers. You do not need to make an application and this is a one-off payment which will not affect any other benefits. Payments are expected to be made in February 2012.
