hello everyone
my name is lindsey myers and i posted an advertisement in April for the piece of work i am doing for skills for care. it is still listed in this section if you want to read more about the work.
i just thought i would give you all one more reminder of the advisory group that we are trying to form.
we are a bit short on carer representation on the group and really hoped to encourage some of you to let us know how best we can involve carers in this important work.
From the meetings i have been having, i have become more aware of the issues for carers in having time away from their carer responsibilities but i am keen to make sure this does not exclude carer opinion.
with that in mind, i would like to ask your views on whether there is any benefit in being able to contribute your views in a more remote way?
i was thinking particularly about things like webcam conferencing, message boards or newsletters.
i would really appreciate your thoughts on this matter - skills for care are so integral to the standard of social care service delivery that i would hate for carer representation to be excluded.
if you have any ideas, i would love to hear from you on lindsey.myers@hotmail.co.uk, or by posting an answer on this message board.
if you do have any time and wanted to meet other potential group members, we are all meeting on july 24th at 11am at heatherton community centre in derby. we can meet travel expenses if that helps you to attend.
with kind regards
lindsey myers
