I don't get the impression the person I am dealing with is anything other than at least normal intelligence. The impression I do get is that a) she is one of those people who is RIGHT, even when she is wrong, so is unable/unwilling to listen to anything that does not fit her picture; b) she has power over events and people, but this is not tempered by understanding of the effects of using her power. This is the wrong person for this kind of job - unless the council's only consideration is to prevent money being spent.

Perhaps I didn't write what I meant very well. I wasn't trying to imply that this person was below average intelligence, more one of those people who is so rigid in attitude that they seem incapable of using the brain that they were given to think for themselves with logic and common sense. There's a Gilbert and Sullivan song about people the world could manage very well without, I can't remember the name (although someone else will remind us I'm sure) but this person you have come across certainly seems to fit very well into the category!

Don't worry about it audrey, after years reading and occasionally posting on newsgroups, (which developed when bandwidth was small and dial-up charged by how much you used it) I had to learn to only make posts that were worthwhile. Yours are always worthwhile, so you do not need me to excuse you!

I hope the keyboard is OK.
