Looking for young carers to talk about their issues on TV

A place for those 18-35 to chat about all things caring.
Hi Chris,

Well this is an opportunity to be heard, rolling off the momentum of our show.
And we did contact many carers, just not though this forum.

This is the time to talk to the press about issues and bring them forward!
Victoria D show is not a tabloid as far as I know.
Thanks Val ... when writing the " History of Family Carers " ... approaches to those outside our world ( CarerLand ) would consume 3 / 4 chapters ... many issues , some banded together , to all far corners of PressMediaLand and ... a couple of acknowledgements is all we can show for our endeavours ... since 2004 at least , the Internet age.

Replies from individual ministers / mps ?

Bog standard replies ... even the deluge received in response to " The Carers Letter " a decade ago ... three / four paragraphs of being patted on the head and keep up the good work ... and continue to save us some £ 132 Billion per annum for your ... sacrifice ?

If your " Offer " is genuine , take a look at this thread ... Our Lord Kitch ... digest what Kitch has to say and then decide IF you want to take on our issues ... ?

Pulls no punches ... in plain English ... accurate to the last 1p ... and produced by carers themselves.

Just one ... Carers Allowance / Pittance ... £ 1.40 per week ( Average ) over the past 10 YEARS ... and one has to jump through many hoops to be able to claim it in the first place ... for a minimum of 35 hours per week providing care ( Many on call 24 / 7 / 365 ) ... still LESS than an unemployed person receives !

There are programs ... and there are programs ... Panorama normally sets the standard.

Time for a new standard ... a " Cathy Come Home " for carers ... albeit 10 / 20 / 30 years too late ???
