My dad has passed

For anyone who is bereaved or no longer providing care.
Hi there!
I have never posted in the forum before, so you will not know much about me. Myself and my family cared for our dad over the past 2 1/2 years since he was left bed bound from a stroke. It was a very difficult, stressful time as I'm sure you will all understand. He passed away Christmas Eve....he's health got te better of him. We are totally devastated and struggling to come to terms with this. I'm worried for my sisters & brothers who lived with him. How can you ever get over losing someone that was once part if your everyday life? So painful. Image
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time. x x
Sorry for your loss, x
Very sorry to hear this. You are amongst friends here, there are many former-carers amongst our members who have experienced bereavement.

Sorry for your loss
So sorry, Sarah. Christmas is a horrible time to loose someone.
Thanks everyone for your help and kind words. He lived to a good age of 91 (he had us very late on in life) and was suffering with no real quality of life. But still - I can't get my head round he's gone for ever! X
Thoughts are with you at this very sad time xx
