No longer a carer

For anyone who is bereaved or no longer providing care.
Hi, my mum died on the 21st of July + carers money will stop on the 21st of August.I have been looking for work + know it will be hard after caring for my lovely mum for nearly 4 yrs. I am so low as I lived with her + miss her every day. Who will employ a 54 yr old with health problems that ESA said could work with Migraines, Neck + shoulder problems. I am devastated enough at losing my mum without worrying about money problems.I know I am lucky with the house being left to me + that my sisters agree it should ( Bless Them ) but I will have to sell it to downgrade because of the Council Tax is too expensive. I am willing to try + work but have heard on Job Seekers they push you into anything. This year I have lost my mum + best friend, also my soulmate Tammy my yorkie who was 19yrs old + our little baby, mum was never the same after she just stopped eating + drinking, I am so scared of what the future will be.
Hi Carol, so sorry to hear you have lost your mum.
Maybe you could let out a room to give you an income? It's a time of huge adjustment, be kind to yourself. If there's anything we can help with, just ask. Lots of former carers here.
Hi carol
I'm so sorry to hear of your sad loss ((hugs))
In Carers magazine this week there is an article on exactly this sad situation. I'll try to link to it, but in any case you should contact carers advice line who can help you through this. https://view.joomag.com/caring-magazine ... /p22?short

I thought carers allowance continued for at least 8 weeks after, but do contact them

You also need to go to your doctors may be able to help
