Vehicle tax exemption. Would I commit fraud?

What happens is that one line on the V5 registration certificate gets changed to show Taxation Class as "disabled" or similar wording.

I'm sorry we don't seem to be able to answer your question satisfactorily Mick - but as said previously we are not experts so it would really be better for you to contact our Adviceline team or the DVLA as either would be able to advise you much better than we can.

What DVLA state and what happens in practise can be different things (though they may be resolved at a later time but not without causing anxiety etc.) which is why I was asking.
