Who remembers the Local Health Boards?

Share information, support and advice on all aspects of caring.
Going back about 17 years now.

When they were first formed, there're were to be Carers representatives on them. I applied and got an interview.

The chairman was a retired director of Social Services.

Jobs for the boys springs to mind. :-???
Public Sector equivalent of Non-Exec directorships??!!!!
The very laudable idea though that a specific Board member was there with a clear duty to bring up Carers needs and problems.

A very good innovation surely?
Nothing with the word 'Board' in it exists any more.

No Milk Marketing Board.

No Gas Board.

Zilch.

Says a lot....
