I log in to this forum and tick the 'remember me' box.
But it never does as I have to log in each day.
Maybe the "error" is with your own computer.

I find if I click on the "Sleep" power off function then I remain signed in.

:D
I've had problems too which touch wood seem resolved. I find if click the purple tab logout instead of member logout it usually saves my details.
Not just the " Remember Me " box.

Quite a few past posters / readers seem to be forgetting to come back in.

Traffic was fairly average on my last tour which ended in 2010.

2017 ? Well down in registered members postings / viewings , guest figures keeping steady.

As for the speed cops around , I always seem to glimpse one on my tail , a couple of times almost on my rear bumper.

Still miss that old traffic cop Matt. Very fair if he caught you doing 41 in 40 zone. Boy racers / joy riders ? Dealt with them fairly , no complaints from the rest of us. Couple of newish ones in green uniforms pretty fair , occasional wagging finger by no on the spot fines.

A few red uniform ones seen , but tend to leave daily operations to the greens. Good turnout in advance on a rare glimpse of the fabled Veyron earlier this year. Lanes cleared for a smooth journey from wherever to wherever ? Was it me or did I hear a slight misfiring as it zoomed by ? Oh well , never got above 20% of it's potential , but still a welcomed sight.

At least it's still going unlike the " Other " outfit's excuse for one , especially after their revamp.

Over there , one would need an ouiji board , and a great deal of patience if nobody replies , even after a week.

There again , try raising an Issue on 'ere ....

Better bring some warm clothing and prepare for winter ?

A few are in my will , in case they outlast me.

Legacy ? A fading betting slip in my almost empty safety deposit box with a name on it ... £ 10 to win / £ 10 as part of .... match that against the revelation of who shot JFK is made ?

We did have a problem with this a while back Albert but I thought it had been fixed !

Try deleting all cookies and history from your browser (by the way that will also delete all passwords and 'remember me's' on other sites too !) that often clears the problem.

When you log back in don't use the first set of login boxes near the top of the page, scroll down and you will see another set of larger boxes, use those instead - I have highlighted to IT that the first set of login boxes doesn't seem to work properly whereas the second set do :)

Personally I never actually log out, just close down my browser when I'm done.

If after clearing cookies etc and using the second set of log in boxes you still have the same problem let me know and I'll get in touch with IT again.
Susie,

Albert is correct; it never remembers me either. Incidentally, I can log in using the first boxes at the top but can't get in using the middle ones!

I know when I had the problem really badly I had to switch from Internet Explorer to Google Chrome and it then stopped (that was after CUK's IT guy spent 2 HOURS on the phone with me remotely trying to work out the problem !) I can't think of any reason why 'remember me' works for some people and not for others except maybe a problem with the browser/search engine being used.
Maybe some people delete all their cookies each time that they log out.

depends on the settings with their browser - some people do have their's set to delete all cookies when they shut down their computer or laptop; then, of course, the forum wouldn't be able to remember them as it uses cookies for the 'remember me' function. (silly me hadn't thought of that !)
