Felting

Hi,
I'd never heard of this craft before, but was given a kit by lovely teaching assistants, they said they thought I'd find the stabbing (needling) therapeutic - and I do. It's also very easy to work on whilst S is around or doing an activity alongside me. Anyone else tried it?

Melly, M did a 4 week (Saturday) course on felting, run by one of his day services. He loved doing it and they framed his work, which now hangs proudly on his wall in his flat. I had a go with a felting machine about 10 years ago, on a weekend sewing course, but it didn't do anything for me. I prefer cutting out and sewing up things to wear!

PS just sent a "testing, testing" message to Roll Call version 3, but it seems to have disappeared!
Your message is there now BB!

I'm not using a felting machine just a felting needle, I'm not so fussed on the end product, just finding the actual process therapeutic! Heaven knows what I'll do with the end result!

Well done to M though, he must have good fine motor skills. Does he do any crafts now?
