Hi ,here are a couple of the models i am working on .
they have been painted dark green ,which is now masked by the blue tac and low tack masking tape ,i have got another model waiting for the same treatment then i can spray paint them
Very good David :) I don't have the patience for model making
Thanks sue ,only another 90 odd to finish :D
Well done David. Before dementia hubby would have identified the different aircraft.
I am thinking Spitfire? I saw one fliying about last year on edge of coastal airshow and amazed how many people wandering about on the ground completely ignored it!
Hi ,yes the larger one is a 1.48 scale spitfire ,the other one is a 1/72 hawker hurricane .
Violet what you wrote made me feel sad for your husband .
Thank you David xx

Hubby worked on design planning in engineering factory - during WW2 they produced engines for Rolls Royce for aircraft such as Spitfire, Merlin and others. Of course everything had to be rigorously tested and hubby recognised the sound of each engine and would know if anything needed to be altered. I remember once we went to an airshow and he reeled off the names of all the aircraft, recognised them by the sound of the engine before they came into view. Another high point was when we visited Imperial War Museum - Spitfire was suspended from the ceiling as though it was actually flying. He was so happy to see it that day.

Enjoy your hobby David xx
