I look forward to your reply with interest and hope.

Yours Sincerely Tony Rhodes ( National Carers Forum)
I have noticed that people do not seem to be interested in the email campaign i am running this month starting on Mon 6th August, pressure sores are life threatening, they kill, they are very painful, 1-5 people who go into hospital will get a pressure sore, please think about it and join in this email campaign, even if you have no personal experience of these type of sores please just send off a email saying something should be done to stop this totally avoidable problem, thanks again to everyone.

I have just noticed that a picture of a serious pressure sore has been removed from my post, there has been no explanation why this has been done? Are we not old enough to see such pictures? this is a serious subject which lots of people do not or did not know how serious they could get, i am very dissapointed by carersuk actions, who complained if anyone? if there were no complaints why was the image removed? i thought we had got over the childish behaviour of the people who run this forum, the pressure sore image was a valid image, i suppose you are implying that image is as bad as pornography? how pathetic this has become.
What does anyone else think about the removal of this image, please let me know, the image is available to view on my website at http://www.tonyrhodes.co.nr i will not be censoring what you can see, i think you are all adult enough to make your own mind up.
Thanks again for all your support.

Hi Tony

Sorry you feel unfairly treated. We did say the image was removed and a link was provided so it could be viewed.

The reason is that images are not allowed in any posts. It is clear in the rules of the forum and has been since day one. The policy is that if you have an image you include a link and explain what it is. Then people can decide if they want to view it.

The rule is number 4 on our rules list which you can see at this link
http://www.carersuk.org/Forums/viewtopic.php?t=4

Please don't take it personally, it is not a criticsim of you or the seriousness of the issue of pressure sores.

I'll start a thread over in the About the forum section on images and see what people think. As always I am happy to review the rules if we feel they need changing.

Best wishes

Matt
If you have comments on if images shoudl be allowed or not, I have started another thread about it please post your thoughtsthere
