Bring our expertise to your door

Let Carers UK come to you and share our knowledge and expertise with your staff. Whether it is community care law, carers' assessments or mental capacity we have over 30 different courses which can be tailored to the specific requirements of your organisation. Your staff will benefit from good practice examples drawn from our network of 1,000 organisations working with carers.

Our in-house training is cost effective when training groups of staff.  It also saves you the cost and your staff the inconvenience of travelling or an overnight stay. For example, a statutory organisation booking an in-house course at the basic fee of £1,310 this would average out at £65.50 per person where the maximum 20 participants attend, as opposed to £179 for attending a course at Carers UK . The savings for a voluntary organisation are even greater. The only travel and accommodation costs you would need to cover would be those of the visiting trainer.

If you are a small organisation with only a few members of staff, you may find it beneficial to make a booking in partnership with other local organisations.

In-house courses

All of our courses can be delivered in-house, tailored to your requirements. We also offer the following courses

  • Carers’ Assessments: Good Practice
  • Carers Awareness for Primary Care & Health Staff
  • Community Care Law Advanced for Occupational Therapists
  • 'Is it Lawful?' Developing & Maintaining Lawful Policies & Practice in Community Care Law
  • Carers Voices: Helping carers influence local services. more...

Accreditation

We are accredited by the The Institute of Legal Executives and The Solicitors Regulation Authority (formerly the Law Society) and our  legal courses carry Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours. Our courses are a way of fulfilling the General Social Care Council's specific requirements for post-registration training for social workers.
