Main Content: Showcase your work at International Carers Conference 2010
In July 2010 practitioners, researchers and those with an interest in caring will be attending the 5th International Carers Conference in Leeds. This is a great opportunity for your organisation to showcase its work in supporting older and disabled people and their carers.
The 5th International Carers Conference: New Frontiers in Caring: 2010 and Beyond, Leeds 8- 11 July 2010
- Are you helping GPs identify carers?
- Have you set up a good Carers Emergency Scheme?
- Is your assessment process achieving good outcomes for carers and the people they care for?
- Have you managed to drive change across your organisation and deliver better support for carers?
- Have you developed flexible breaks, services to keep carers in work or grasped personalisation?
- Have you introduced telecare?
These are just some ideas for potential workshops at the International Conference where you could be showcasing your organisation's work.
The conference has four themes: health, social care and well-being, technology, design and the built environment, caring and employment and funding, legal and financial support.
The UK has been at the cutting edge of developing support for carers. Make sure the rest of the world, as well as the dometic audience get to hear about how you are making a difference, whether you are a local authority, NHS Trust, voluntary organisation or advocacy group.
Your workshop proposals should be submitted by 31st December 2009 when they will be considered by the Policy and Practice Committee.
Paper presenters are eligible for a reduced delegate rate.
