Despite the fact that children with disabilities have very specific needs, many parents experience barriers accessing appropriate services. This course examines recent research and legislation in order to identify and promote good practice. It gives an opportunity to share experiences through group work and case studies. In response to requests from people wanting to take part in this training, the focus of the day will mainly be on research, the law and good practice in relation to child and family support services.
