•  the legal and statutory basis of the Direct Payments scheme
• mental capacity and the ability to manage a Direct Payment
• excluded services, service users and service providers
• calculating the amount of a Direct Payment; monitoring and auditing requirements
• Direct Payments for carers and disabled children
• third party schemes and the ILF – brief outline
• direct payments and NHS services
