Carers UK has been providing high quality courses since 1995 for health and social care professionals, advice workers, employers, lawyers and others who work with carers. The courses, run from our headquarters in London, cover a wide range of subjects from community care law and benefits to carers' rights. Our courses can also be offered as in-house training, alongside additional courses.
Law Society Accreditation
The Training Unit is accredited by The Institute of Legal Executives and The Law Society. Our legal courses carry Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours. Trainees attending legal courses can claim up to 5 hours for a one-day course as shown in the individual course outlines.
General Social Care Council
The General Social Care Council has specific requirements for post-registration training for all registered social workers. The GSCC has confirmed that courses run by Carers UK can be included as a way of fulfilling this requirement.
