With the support of Tunstall, Carers UK has published a new guide to telecare. The guide explains how telecare can be used to benefit carers and provides an overview of the products available and how to obtain them.
Carers UK recently formed a three-year strategic partnership with Tunstall, one of the UK’s leading providers of telecare and telehealth solutions, to increase awareness of the latest advances in telecare and telehealth that can help transform the lives of carers and those they care for.
With Tunstall’s support Carers UK have now published a new booklet: ‘Support for carers – a guide to telecare’.
Telecare technology consists of a range of sensors which monitor risks and environmental conditions around the home, automatically raising an alert if assistance is needed – ensuring help is always at hand and empowering users of these services and carers with greater independence and freedom.
The guide provides an introduction to telecare and explains, using real life examples, how it can be used to benefit carers. It also provides an overview of the various products available and how to obtain them.
