Carers Rights Day

December 04, 2009 will be national Carers Rights Day to support, inform and speak up for the UK's 6 million carers.

Over 1,000 local groups run events across the country, supporting carers in their areas. Carers UK provide support and materials to help groups run a huge range of events, including information stalls at libraries, community centres and supermarkets, advice fayres involving a range of local partners and carer support coffee mornings. However big or small, these events and the support and information they provide, make a real difference to carers.

This year Carers Rights Day will take place on Friday 4th December - why not help support carers near you by registering to run an event. Take a few minutes to fill in our online registration form and you'll be emailed the latest details on what is happening this year and sent an Organiser's Pack in the next couple of months.
