Branches

Carers UK has a network of branches throughout the UK. Run by carers for carers, branches provide an opportunity to meet other carers, who understand what's involved in caring and can share useful information and skills. 

Carers UK branches are a local voice for carers, ensuring carers are listened to by decision makers who can make a real difference to carers' lives.  Branches keep Carers UK in touch with carers throughout the country and help shape our work so that we address the real concerns of carers.

What do branches do?

No two branches are the same.  Here are a range of branch activities:

• coffee mornings
• outings for carers
• newsletter - keeping carers informed of what's going on in their area
• events to raise awareness and tell carers about their rights
• raising the profile of carers through the local media
• providing a voice for carers to bring about much needed changes to support services, including contributing to local authority consultations
