Every Disabled Child Matters (EDCM) is the campaign to get rights and justice for every disabled child. They have produced a bill to give families of disabled children a short break - help get MPs to take this up.
The Every Disabled Child Matters Campaign has produced a bill which would place a duty on local authorities to provide a short break for families of disabled children who provide a high level of care.
Every year, MPs are given an opportunity to put their own Bill ['Private Members Bill'] before Parliament. If this is passed it becomes law like any other bill. The Carers [Equal Opportunities] Act 2004 was the result of a Private Members Bill.
The results of this year's ballot have been announced. We need to persuade one of the top MPs to take up our Bill. If you live in one of the following MP's constituencies please help by writing to them and asking them to take up the Bill.
Alternatively, call the Every Disabled Child Matters campaign team on 020 7843 6318.
