Quote:I have lost track of where fatherhood stops and caring begins, and I'm probably not the only one who is confused. If nothing else because it amuses me!
Being a parent is being a carer, I don't think there is a dividing line, I can see where you're coming from though.
it's good to hear your lad has a smile on his face and I'll bet his taste in music isn't necessarily yours.
Like any good Dad you'll grin and bear it!!!
24/7 caring means different things to different people. I like the fact that you are doing your damdest to promote indepedence in your lad, it's good that you are able to.
This thread has really deviated off topic, I'll have to slap my wrists for that.

cant get them on ebay either, and the advert used to be u can get ANYTHING on ebay - well u cant
so im afraid spuds guns and a bag of pea shingle it will have to be
After last night and her rudeness to matt and then to me when i stood up for him (notice i stand up for him, but i dont get it back hmmmm- spud gun him as well!) Im thinking that i might just hit her with the spud gun
Makes me feel evil as i wouldnt actually ever slap a child let alone shoot them , but the thought of it is actually getting me through!
AND when iw as evil cackling to meself at the thought of spud gunning her she asked wot i was laughing about- i replied if i told u i would have to shoot u with a spud gun-- she told me i was an ********* and stropped off

they say that when dealing with fierce dogs you should show no fear - perhaps you need to try a similar approach here
If she thinks she's upsetting you she wins - but if you don't react then there's no point in her trying to get a rise out of you !
