Employers for Carers is a membership forum for employers who want to support the 1 in 8 people in their workforce who are carers.
Its purpose will be to:
- identify and promote the business benefits of supporting carers in the workplace
- influence employment policy and practice to create a culture which supports carers in and into work
Membership of the forum will offer employers a range of benefits including :
- a website, with information for employers and employees, including good practice case studies
- a menu of services for employers including training services such as carer awareness, line manager training and workplace workshops for working carers, and consultancy services
- information and support tailored to specific areas of business or sectors, for example, financial services, NHS, education, construction
