Learning for Living is an online e-learning programme for carers. It builds on the skills that carers and former carers have developed in their caring roles. ‘Learning for Living’ was designed with carers' particular needs in mind and drew on City and Guilds’ extensive experience of adult learning.

This was a partnerhip of various companies who wanted to support carers int heir workforces. They produced a website including a self assessment tool assessing how carer aware an organisation is. The website also includes case studies which illustrate some of the best practice around as well as dispelling many of the myths associated with working carers.

The work of ACE national was instrumental in securing this legislation. To help promote understanding of the Work and Families Act, Carers UK teamed up with DTI, ACAS, British Chamber of Commerce and British Gas to produce a pack for employers.
ACE National and Carers UK commissioned and carried out a wide of research to highlight the issues facing carers when balancing their caring role with employment. The culmination of this reserach programme was the Carers, Employment and Services Report Series in November 2007. Conducted by ACE Research Partner, the University of Leeds this was the most wide-reaching research ever carried out into the lives of carers who work and care.
Through the ACE National partnership Carers UK produced a range of information factsheets and booklets that are free for carers, including advice on benefits, financial help, help for those new to caring, juggling work and care and caring and learning.

Care to Take a Look was an interactive CD ROM and website about delivering effective policies for carers. Designed for policy makers, including local and national politicians, local authorities and health professionals, the CD Rom includes data on the number of carers by constituency, local authority and region from the 2001 Census, information on health, money and employment, case studies and a quiz on how local authorities can embed effective carers policies in local authorities.
