Donating to Carers UK in memory of a loved one is a wonderful way to commemorate their life, whilst paying tribute to the carers cause.
There are many ways in which you can donate in memory:
In place of buying flowers at the funeral you could ask friends and family to donate to Carers UK.
Donate on the anniversary of a special day to remember your loved one, perhaps their birthday or a special occasion?
Why not set up your own tribute page in memory of the person you cared for. This allows friends and family to donate in memory and help you hold onto those precious memories. To set up your very own web page, please follow the link below:-

Your generosity will help us fight for a brighter future for the millions of carers.

Dr Joan Molloy was a supporter of Carers UK for many years. At her funeral, her daughter kindly collected donations in her memory in aid of Carers UK. Her daughter kindly tells us the story behind Joan's support of carers.
My mum joined Carers UK in the 1960's after striking up a conversation with a young carer in the Shetland Islands. This young woman worked and every morning she got her father up, dressed him and sorted out his meals for the day. She would then return home from work, take her Dad out for a walk, make him tea then put him to bed. The only break this woman had each year was when she put her father into respite care and boarded the Shetland Island ferry for a week's holiday.
My mother was very moved by the plight of this young carer and told this story all her life to raise awareness amongst those she met about carers and their needs. My mother was a Doctor and devoted her life to the service and care of others. She was a very special and much loved lady.
